After 3 years of not being able to have their Spring Gala Fundraiser due to COVID, Friends is finally back in action. April 1st Friends in Action is hosting their biggest fundraising event of the year, the Friends in Action Spring Gala. Their annual Spring Gala is the organization’s primary fundraising event, securing resources to support programs for people with disabilities such as Wildcat Friends, Friday Social, Basketball Club, Echo Thrift Shop and others.  With over 75% of annual revenues coming from events and donations, this event typically raises about $115,000 and is critical to Friends in Actions ability to keep its programs accessible to all regardless of ability to pay.

The event is attended by almost 200 community members from Portsmouth, Rye, North Hampton, Hampton, Kittery, South Berwick, Durham, New Castle, Greenland, Stratham, Kingston, Newmarket and Exeter, along with Friends in Action donors and families served by the organization.  The evening is a lively celebration including dinner, auction, entertainment, and dancing.
